Scientists in Holuhraun are leaving the site because of increased unrest in the area
Scientists following the volcanic eruption have detected incread unrest in the Bardarbunga volcanic system. Scientists working on the site the have retreated to safety and journalists have been asked to do the same.
TF-SIF, the Icelandic Coast Guard surveillance aircraft, is now flying over the area and scientists on board are collecting new data on the development.
