Bárðarbunga keeps on subsiding

The lava now covers an area over 17 square kilometers

The lava in Holuhraun now covers an area over 17 square kilometers. The volume of the lava is estimated to be around 120 million cubic meters. The picture below shows the fresh lava compared to the Reykjavík area. The other pictures shows the the lava on location in Holuhraun.
